Choosing that perfect gift - Blogmas Day 6

Every year there is the issue of what does so and so want for Christmas. I know we are already in December so some of you maybe completely sorted but I can guarantee not all of you are!!! I certainly am not!
I hope these ideas help:

1) Hobbies: does Granddad love gardening? Your uncle love cooking? What if they good would that person do all day everyday? For me one of my hobbies is this blog which is partially why I am asking for a laptop this Christmas as well as for school work.

2) loves and passions similar to hobbies but this can broaden to the coffee/ chocolate addict. Books are great useful presents add something edible to bulk your gift up and you have one happy receiver.
3) Obsessions - their favourite TV box set, travel guide to their favourite city or the biography of their favourite celeb.

4) personalise and make it specially there are many online sites where you can find personalised gifts or read on further to make something yourself.

5) if in doubt go EDIBLE- just check for any allergies first!!!

Going for the homemade touch

You don't have to an artist to go homemade this Christmas:
1) photos you can choose 1 or make a collage
2) scrabble names maybe one for the family I am certainly thinking of making one of these myself.
3) decorations - great fun especially with kids or you can go super sophisticated!
Reindeer Felt Hanging Decorations
4) FOOD (it is becoming a common theme!!) chocolate truffles, cakes and other little treats. If you can't make them yourself collect a few favourites and put them in a pretty basket I can assure you it will be cheaper than a shop bought hamper.

For people similar to yourself think, would I be pleased to receive this gift?I hope you have all had a great day. Please follow me on Bloglovin below and on Pinterest here. As always here is today's inspirational quote:
Of course!!

The 'Other' Christmas Wish list - Blogmas Day 5

I am sorry this is a day late!! The other Christmas wish list is the one with the stuff that doesn't fit into any particular category. The following gifts are probably the most suitable male gift ideas.
Starting with a book - The You Only Live Once Lonely Planet's explorers guide. The ultimate bucket list book to living life to the full, this is certainly on my bucket list! I really want to live my life to the full and this book seems the perfect place to start.
The mug is a usual gift but taking that ordinary drinking cup to the next level, enter the SELF STIRRING MUG. No longer must you search around for a clean spoon with this fabulous device. Great for the hot drink lover who loves a got kitchen gadget.
On a similar theme the chainsaw pizza cutter taking pizza night to a new level of awesome!!

Finally for a music loving friend the dancing fountain speakers these look great! You've seen the musical fountain displays of the world like those in Las Vegas and Dubai, well you can now have that in your own home!!

You may be able to tell this post really excited me I love cool but not completely necessary small gadgets!
I hope you have all had a great day. Please follow me on Bloglovin below and on Pinterest here. As always here is today's inspirational quote:

Christmas Fashion Wish list - Blogmas Day 4

Even though I will not be going to many Christmas parties this year there is no harm in dreaming.
Starting with a cute party dress this one I found at Very it is a short navy dress with a lace detailed bodice I can see this dress as one that can be one all year round.

Of course for the ultimate luxury paired with a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes I choose a simple pair of black high heels as you are spending so much money you want to be able to wear them!!
Again for the luxury treats my dream handbag the Michael Kors Selma bag it is beautiful. Of course a very high end gift or the result of many savings together.
Then to the sublime comfort, winter coziness unless you are in the Southern Hemisphere!! Pyjamas are always necessary Primark has some great sets and very fluffy onezies on offer. Footwear wize I would love a pair of fluffy Uggs or a cheaper equivalent for that much.

To be more realistic I would love a new pair of converses this Christmas preferably in white. They just go with everything and I have worn my last pair to death!

Finally a recent find is Alphabet Bags which makes the cutest bags I especially love their quote wash bags. Like these two:

Christmas Home Wish list - Blogmas Day 3

Dreaming of my own little winter wonderland, with all my hostess needs covered. Be the hostess with the' mostess' this Christmas!

Beginning with the wonderful home section at Next it is fabulous!
A few of my favourites start with food related gifts:
First off I seem to have an obsession with cheese boards, I don't even like cheese that much but I love how the knifes fit in under the board it is great! Maybe a gift for the budding entertainer or want-a-be mouse!!
Another food related gift is this fondue set which you could totally add some food too to bulk up the gift. Looks great for a girls night in or a romantic film night!

Finally on the food front this biscuit jar is so cute I am in love, again a gift you can add extra packages too.

Other home gifts I love in Next are their cushions I love this one in particular. The quote is lovely.

Another cheaper place with homeward is Dunelm it has so much choice and really good prices. I found this great bedding set to make your room more Christmasy!

Christmas Beauty Wish list- Blogmas Day 2

Gifts for your beauty loving friends and family which of course I would jump up and down like a demented kangaroo if I were to receive any of the following. I will start with the higher end gifts then as you get to the lower end of the scale I see packaging having a very important part to play. Warning this may be a long one!!

To start with I have discovered an addiction for blush palettes, my purse is yet to be informed but the bond is already there!

This Christmas Nars has again bought out a beautiful blush and bronzer palette - The Virtual Domination Palette. For a starter the packaging is so beautiful, then contains 3 blushes (Sex Fantasy, Final Cut which are both limited edition and Deep throat ), 1 Highlighter ( Miss Liberty) and a nearly full sized Laguna bronzer. At £45 it is a lot for a beauty gift in my opinion.
A slightly less expensive blush palette is Benefit's cheeky box o' blushes. The packaging here is nice but not the luxury of Nars. You do get 5 blushes ( Dandelion, bellabamba, sugarbomb, coralsita and rockatoa), a bronzer (Hoola) and a highlighter for £29.50 which I think is a very good deal.
Keeping to the palettes any, if they haven't already got them, beauty obsessed would love one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes I am personally still torn between getting 1 or 2 as at £37 each I can't quite see myself buying both.
A very spoken about palette from across the pond is the Lorac Pro which if I could get my hands on it would probably be higher on the wishlist than the naked palettes! Another new release which has been spoken about is the Clarins Christmas palette.
I think beautiful lipstick is needed to finish off this High end list of course the packaging is beautiful from YSL, Chanel and Dior but the rose gold from Charlotte Tilbury has caught my eye. Especially after Anna from ViviannaDoesMakeup did a review of the shade Lost Cherry it will making its way up the list!!
A few high street beauty  ideas include Essie nail polish they are just the best quality with so many amazing shades to choose from. I love the packaging on any Bourjois blush they are so cute. Soap and Glory Skincare and Lush bath products are certainly great crowd pleases. Eye shadow wise L'Oreal have some beautiful new palettes and their infallible eye shadows are great. Along with cream eye shadows from Maybelline and Max Factor.

I hope you have all had a great day. Please follow me on Bloglovin below and on Pinterest here. As always here is today's inspirational quote:

November Favourites - Blogmas Day 1

It's DECEMBER, which to me means Christmas!! An exciting little announcement is that I will be blogging the 24 days up to Christmas today being day 1 of ... BLOGMAS!!

My favourites the month are a build up of recent purchases and new loves for the cold weather.
Starting with beauty the Maybelline Colour Elixir in 705 Redefined Rose. It has taken AGES for these to get across the pond, but it was so worth the wait. I love this shade in particular because it looks so natural , on me anyway! These glosses are not sticky and the packaging makes them look far more expensive than their £6.99 price tag.

Next I have finally found a mascara I really love being the L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara. The wand for this is massive and plastic which may not be for some. However for it looks amazing natural looking lashes as I am not a lover of spider lashes!

On to a new Skincare find from Lush the Tea tree toner. This is so easy to use with a spritz to the face and a cotton pad to remove any excess. I don't know if it is due to this product but I have had significantly less breakouts since using it.

A few fashion favourites now for the autumn/ winter I purchased some Chelsea boots from NewLook, of course this year many of the high street stores have there own Chelsea boot. They go with everything and are super comfy.
For keeping warm I have been loving this TopShop coat ( I couldn't find the exact coat but this is a similar one). I love all the details on it and it is certainly getting its wear.
Internet wise I have been loving Pinterest especially in the run up to Christmas when the festive boards make me so excited.

I hope you have all had a great day. Please follow me on Bloglovin below and on Pinterest here. As always here is today's inspirational quote:

New Beginnings

A new start for Quelquefois Fantastique, after a pause in writing blog posts due to a lack of inspiration and I just didn't feel my content was all that great. As well as making sure my education and studies were put first. I cannot guarantee that I will keep a constant flow of content now as I have absolutely know idea what could pop up as an obstacle in my way.
After that as a very long winded starter I still want to make this post as informative as possible.
I have decided to try and improve my lifestyle and not sit around on the Internet all day eating rubbish.

1) I am constantly trying to drink my 2 litres of water a day and currently I am doing well my skin certainly seems to be benefiting from this ( I have probably just jinxed that!!)

2) exercising and stretching more, I have been stretching when watching TV. I don't go to the gym and the weather is pretty bad at the moment so rolling out my yoga may for a bit of Pilates is the current limit to my exercise currently.

3) Putting a no tech before bed rule I try to get to sleep for 10:30 with a hopeful hour with no technology. I'm in my early days of trying to achieve this but hopefully my sleep will benefit from this.

4) getting up earlier having half term ( week long holiday in UK schools) I have been waking up around 9:30am, so getting back into waking earlier is a bit of a struggle. Especially as the temperature is dropping so leaving my cosy duvet is far harder.  Now trying to wake up 5 minutes earlier each day will hopefully get me to on the road to being more of a morning person.

5) Improving my breakfasts I am rubbish at eating a good breakfast - at least I eat one though (which is better than my sister). Now after a good search in Pinterest and Google I hope to start my day off with a filling healthy quick breakfast always including some fruit. Trying to perfect my poached eggs for a source of protein has my starter.

I hope you have all had a great day. Please follow me on Bloglovin below and on Pinterest here. As always here is today's inspirational quote:
